That's really great that your
parents put the real emphasis on Christ. After all, that's why we have a
Christmas!
I wasn't raised in a religious family, they
believed in God and taught me the basics of trusting in Jesus but they
didn't take me to church (ever) (I didn't start going until after I was
a mother myself...) However my parents believed that it was senseless to
"lie" to us about Santa Claus so we were pretty much the only kids in
our school (at 5 yrs. old) that didn't believe in Santa! As a child, and
into early adulthood, I always thought that those views were silly, but
since I've had kids of my own, I now agree with them. I guess that's
what happens when you grow up! lol!
