1. Re: What is necessary to legitimize a marriage?
You know in saying "In my eyes" show you as
judge there for only a ceremony that satisfies you will do. Give that
what is marriage but the bring of two in the eyes of God into one. Why
any ceremony? When I married I was already committed to him forever bound
by God. The only reason we married by my preacher and applied for the
license is cause of the laws of state. These can and are broken each and
every day, but a commitment bound by God is unbreakable.

I don't really agree with that. My husband and
I have been married for 8 years and we were married at my brothers house.
We had a beautiful outside wedding with our family and friends there and
were married by a judge. At the time, I wasn't saved and didn't have a
pastor to perform the ceremony. I don't really think that God doesn't
recognize our marriage because we weren't married inside of a church. I
would of loved that but my husband is a very shy person and I just loved
him and wanted us both to be happy and that is how we've lived our past 8
years of our marriage. I think that when you get married, it's not where
you get married that's important or who marries you, it's who you marry
and whether our not you are happy with that person. I don't really know
the right or wrong answer to this question, but I will have to talk to my
pastor about this though.
