I understand what
Colossions is saying, however to group all wives tales into a catagory of
philosphy or deciet is a little off base for the simple reason alot of
what is called "wives tales" are actualy truths.

Sure,
there are some that are silly or even superstitious but there are also
some that are simple truths.

I believe it depends on the
wives tales and the content of it.

There are so many of them
ranging from gardening to pregnancy.

I believe we should
allow God to guide us and to use our gift of dissernment when it comes to
such matters.

If a wives tales seems to be against what is
pleasing to our Father, then I say by all means it is not the truth and it
should be avoided. We need to be-aware and do only the things that are
pleasing to him.

I also think alot of them are silly and
actualy have no real meaning or harm.

ex:If you keep making
faces like that, it will freeze that way. OR

Or my hand is
itching, I must be getting some money.

To me theses are silly
and I cannot see a Christian taking them to heart.
