A Different Wavelength

Tuesday, May 16, 2006 (06:15:00)
If you've been a regular viewer of my blog, you'll realise that I've been haunted by a vision for the last few months. But for those of you who haven't, I'll explain anyway.

Are You Listening Yet?

Monday, March 13, 2006 (17:47:24)
The Bible is full of warnings for us to prepare, yet few people heed those warnings. The U.S. government has many times told us to prepare by having a 72-hour kit, etc., yet I'll bet you don't know of anyone who has one. Now, the government is warning the citizens to prepare for the avian flu that will hit the country soon. Are you listening yet?

March 13, 2006 — - In a remarkable speech over the weekend, Secretary of Health and Human Services Michael Leavitt recommended that Americans start storing canned tuna and powdered milk under their beds as the prospect of a deadly bird flu outbreak approaches the United States.

Make Your Choice Now!

Wednesday, February 01, 2006 (16:28:15)
Loyalty to your country and faithfulness to your church are good things. But governments are fallible and churches can be misled. When the laws of government and the Laws of God conflict, we have a choice to make. How many examples will we have to read in the Bible where men were prepared to suffer for obeying God and not man before we learn the lesson? Pretending there is no conflict is not an option open to us.

"The word of the Lord came to me: “You, son of man — this is what the Sovereign Lord says to the land of Israel: An end! The end is coming on the four corners of the land! The end is now upon you, and I will release my anger against you; I will judge you according to your behaviour, I will hold you accountable for all your abominable practices. My eye will not pity you; I will not spare you. For I will hold you responsible for your behaviour, and you will suffer the consequences of your abominable practices. Then you will know that I am the Lord".
Ezekiel 7:1-4

Investing For The Future

Wednesday, January 18, 2006 (12:58:51)
"For the creation eagerly waits for the revelation of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility — not willingly but because of God who subjected it — in hope that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of decay into the glorious freedom of God’s children".
Romans 8:19-21

Born To Be Killers

Wednesday, December 14, 2005 (12:54:40)
"Self worth, resilience, hope, intelligence and empathy are all essential factors in the building of a health character - effective control of impulses, anger management and conflict resolution. Without these skills, children cannot form rewarding relationships with community systems. Children who kill to solve their problems in fact solve nothing. Society needs to understand the fact that children can form intent to kill, whether or not they understand what they're doing. They can kill without knowing that it is final, so this point needs to be impressed on them during the early stages of their development. Any signs of lack of empathy or value of another person's life needs to be caught early and treated, not ignored".
