Terror attack kills 14 in IsraelTerrorattack kills 14 in Israel
October 21, 2002

A suicide bomber drove a vehicle loaded with explosives next to a bus packedwith passengers just before the afternoon's rush hour in northern Israel andblew it up, killing 14 people, police said.

What causes someone to do this sort of thing?  Hate.  You have toreally hate someone so bad that you would gladly kill yourself for a chance to kill them. There is no other excuse.

The fighting in the Middle East has been going on for centuries.  Some members of the United State government think they can mediate between these two factions who seek to destroy each other.  Yes, eventually, there will be peace in Jerusalem, but for today, the actions between the Palestinians and Jews can only be described as hatred and talking is not going to help.  Jesus is the only one who can bring peace to the Middle East.

The suicide bomber did not know the people he killed.  He did not hate them personally.  He hated Jews, all Jews.  Don't try to understand it.  The concept is foreign to Christians.

Jesus died for the Jew and Gentile, alike.  Faith in Him alone can bring people together in love.

Galatians 3:26-29
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

When we are in Jesus, there can be no hatred.  There can be no discrimination.  We are all heirs according to the promise.

Christians, while horrified by hateful events taking place around the world should put things into perspective, understanding there can be no peace without Jesus.  People without Jesus can and will do horrible things.  The root cause of savage murder is pure hatred.  Satan is the father of such hatred.  Realize the conflict in the Middle East is spiritual.  Man cannot mediate in spiritual matters.  Only the Holy Spirit can do that.  All we can do is pray...and testify.

Pray for the souls of those who are contemplating acts of violence.  Pray for the souls of those who have lost loved ones.

The night is drawing nigh and we have a lot of work to do.

If you consider yourself a prayer warrior, let's see what you've got.
