Mark 16:15 And He said unto them, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (the Amplified definescreature as "the human race")Have you ever though about what this verse means to you? Does it mean you have to be a missionary in a foreign field? That is what I thought.
I had never had a call or an opportunity to go to a foreign land. Nevertheless I still thought,"I am not doing what the Lord
commanded us to do." This was something that nagged at the back of my mind. I wanted to do the Lord's will.
One day I hdeard a speaker talk on Mark 16:15. The message spoke to my heart. He explained how we all can go into the world. How? We all have our own "world", Our own "world" you ask?
Yes! for me (at the time)I worked with children as a preschool teacher and a Sunday School teacher. The children were my "world". In Sunday School I would teach them of Jesus, in preschool I would show the children and their parents the love of God through my actions. I was, to my joy and relief, "going into all the world, and preaching the gospel."
Maybe you are a store clerk, a janitor, a stay at home mother, a teacher, or a waitress etc. Where you work, where you live is your "world." You can be a light and a witness where the Lord has you.
We may not all be called to be missionaries to a foreign land, but we all can fulfil the Lord's command to "go into all the world" Together we can all reach the world for Jesus. May the Lord bless you as you serve Him.
