but never let your light grow dim;

You have been granted privilege indeed,
for He now considers you of His seed;

He will not ask of you what He has not done,
it is not in your strength, but of the Son;

Lift your head, brave warrior of God,
pick up your battered shield and rod;

As you walk through the raging fire,
remember this as you begin to tire;

The Lord of the Persecuted has been this way,
